Join us on October 1st to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. To commemorate this day, we will be showing the film “China’s War on Poverty” which documents the frontline of China’s world-historic project of lifting 800 million people out of poverty.

Doors open at 7pm, with the documentary being screened at 7:30pm. After the hour-long film we will hold an open, facilitated discussion on the film, China’s development and the capitalist world’s demonization of the c0untry.

This event will take place in East Vancouver at the Centre for Socialist Education, 706 Clark Drive.

Entry will be free, but donations will be accepted. Refreshments will be available.
