The federal government legally allows all registered political parties to issue official tax receipts for donations. The tax rebate is issued by Revenue Canada.

You can also donate to more than one registered political party.

The Communist Party of BC never receives corporate sponsorships, nor have we ever we received a per-vote public subsidy granted to the big parties by the Federal government –  but we can offer any donation a tax receipt if you are a Canadian citizen with taxable income.  To issue a tax receipt, donations must be done through PayPal, cheque or money order.

For example, a donation of $100 costs you just $25.

All donations received before December 31 are eligible for tax credits in the new year.

You get back:

75% for the first $100 you donate.
50% for the next $450 you donate.
33.3% of the rest up to a total tax credit of $500.

For example, a $1150 donation will only cost the donor $650, after filing the Official receipt with your taxes, and receiving the $500 rebate.

A $100 donation will only cost $25 after applying the rebate, while a $200 donation will cost $75.

A $300 donation will cost $125, after the rebate.

You can give a maximum of $1150.00 a year to the Communist Party of B. C.

To issue a tax receipt, donations must be done through PayPal, cheque or money order.
